IGN(In Game Name): Mr_Mow

What Language are you applying for?: Spanish

How did your character learn the language? (100+ Characters):

Brad Armstrong lived on his boat, which he called "Lisa". He had bought this boat for the purpose of traveling to new places and so he did.

One day, Brad found himself off the coast of Mexico and was drawn to the country's rich history and vibrant culture. He decided to stay there for a while and see what it was like to live on the coast.

While living on his boat, Brad quickly realized that he needed to learn Spanish in order to communicate with the locals and fully immerse himself in the culture. He started taking lessons from a local teacher and soon found himself falling in love with the language.

Brad started learning from a kindergarten level because it was an entirely new language at the age of 30. He was very interested in learning the language and thought he might live there forever, so he just kept at it. He would converse with the locals who were happy to help him learn and he was known locally as the boat man.

Brad was glad about how much more he was able to experience and appreciate the culture and the people around him once he was able to speak their language. He also met new friends and had many exciting adventures in Mexico, some of which he never would have been able to have without speaking Spanish.

After eight years of living on his boat near the coast of Mexico and speaking Spanish fluently, Brad decided it was time to move on to his next adventure. But he would always cherish the memories and lessons he learned from his time there, especially his love for the Spanish language.

How does this benefit your character's roleplay?:

It would help for my character to know Spanish so he could converse with other characters that know Spanish so he could build camaraderie with people who share the language. It would also make sense because he had such a great time in Mexico he would never forget the language the people there taught him.
