What Language are you applying for?:

How did your character learn the language? (100+ Characters):
The Shin family has had generations with intelligent and gifted descendants. Not very surprisingly Yuri was a gifted child, doing well academically even when she was very young and barely started school. As she continued to grow older she was introduced to a transfer student from St. Petersberg, Russia in middle school. Though the boy understood no Korean and could only communicate through a poorly translated dictionary, she found him humorous and kind. She started talking to him through the same method, though it was a small gesture, the boy was very happy to have her as a friend. Not so long after, she was already sick of doing this so she wanted to find a different way, knowing her friend won’t be able to learn Korean without taking at least a few years. So she took it upon herself to learn his native language, which she quickly started on. She started with basic elementary level books in Russian, she studied those books every day of the week. After about 2 and a half months, she had enough knowledge to say “hello”, “goodbye”, “thank you:” and introduce herself. After surprising her friend, they talked to each other in Russian almost 24/7. And as they grew together, she helped him get better at Korean and even learnt a lot of things from him. She continued to practice her Russian every chance she got, and as she was nearing her high school years she had less and less time to study so her learning process was cut short most of the time. So she chose to set studying aside for a while and wait until she had long breaks like summer break, winter break, etc. So everytime her long breaks started, she’d go back to studying Russian. This plan was thought to work but it didn’t, so on one summer break she studied nonstop for the entire summer. After the first two months of summer, she had finished learning Russian, but due to rushing everything she still made a few grammatical mistakes every now and then, but her friend would correct her everytime she made a mistake which helped her get the mistakes down.

How does this benefit your character's roleplay?:
With this language I could communicate with other people whether it is privately or in a group to expand the playing relationship
