IC Information

Character Name:
Chegal Shi-Won

Current Occupation:
Assistant nurse at an elderly care home.

Provide 3 /me's of how your character fits into the chosen role.

/me would move to the cabinet after helping the student to the bed, humming as she reached into the cupboard to retrieve an ice pack, small sick bowl and thermometer. She'd take two seconds to crack the icepack and activate it, setting it atop the cupboard as she sanitised the thermometer. Once this was done she stood and brought the sick bowl to the student, placing it on their lap and wrapped the ice pack in a blue paper towel, holding it to their bruising to prevent swelling. She allowed them to get comfortable and used to the cold temperature before she took their temperature orally.

/me Would offer a warm smile. "Oh dear, I understand that this is stressful but I need you to stay with me for now and take some deep breaths, okay? Being injured is scary and you may begin to feel overwhelmed or lightheaded, but after shock is very common in students with high energy!" she let out  a soft laugh. "I'll be here to help you, let me know if it get's any worse." Once she finished speaking she moved to the water cooler nearby, getting a glass of water and setting it beside the student, bowing lightly.

/me Sat back down at the front nurses desk, crossing her legs delicately as she took out a large folder full of records, her pen movements were swift and precise as she wrote down the logs of the injuries her students previously sustained and how she treated them so it was all properly logged.

Graduation Year:

Medicine + Medicinal practises

Academic Degree:
Docterate in Nursing.

Chegal hails from Seoul herself, a wealthy family that specialised in the medical field, so it was expected of her from a young age that she would continue to study to help support the people of Korea in the future. A well intended vision from her family that brought upon Chegal herself a lot of stress. As someone with dyslexia, Chegal struggled in school and often struggled to complete her school work fully or in time and missed many deadlines. She was scolded at home for her unintentional actions and often berated. By her high school and College years she felt defeated, but was still succeeding enough to go to an expensive private medical school funded by her family. She would complete a basic nursing internship at the same time of her studies and eventually finished her studies at 24 years old. Her family had expected her to marry, and had married her off at 18; though once she finished her medical degree and gained control of her life, she divorced the older man and set off on her own past, doing less intensive jobs like assistants, admins and such. Eventually, she felt strong enough to return to her almost prophecy written route and decided a school nurse may be good to grow her confidence.

What would you do, if a group of students aren't behaving within the school grounds?:
When a student isn't behaving it's important to first warn them or the group as they may have not been aware of the rules that are in place. If this warning is  not heeded or followed accordingly then you should warn them of the consequences of continuing, with enough warnings the student has been made well aware of the schools boundaries and rules, so you should log them in for a detention after school.
It's also important to report the student to staff if they're failrping, baiting detentions or perms, so they can be punished accordingly.

What would you do, if a student isn't being respectful or forceful to another?:
As stated previously, students should be warned of their actions so they are made aware that it is wrong and are given the chance to change their behaviour before threatening detention, if this is not heard or obeyed then you should follow through with the usual escalation procedures and attempt to de-escalate without stepping in, then after the warnings, threaten and or give detention to the student.

What would you do, if another school employee was doing something that's hazardous?:
Warn them that it is dangerous and could harm both them and other students, if they were unaware and stop then you can thank them and offer them advice on what to do in the future. If they are aware and continue then you should warn them a second time that you will raise the concern to a higher rank, before doing so and ensuring that you remember the time and place that it happened so CCTV can be used against them or possibly forwarded to the SPD. If it is OOC then report it to staff.
